The last days of Power of Play were dedicated to putting ideas into action and looking ahead. After a week of learning about game design, motivation, and gamification, participants stepped fully into the role of game designers, testing the educational game prototypes they created during the training.
Participants played each other’s games, experiencing them from the perspective of real players. Each prototype was tested in practice, focusing on engagement, learning outcomes, inclusion, and group dynamics.
A strong emphasis was placed on giving and receiving constructive feedback. Through guided reflection sessions, participants analyzed:
-What worked well in the game design
-Which mechanics supported learning objectives
-How inclusive and accessible the games were
-What could be improved or adapted for different target groups
This feedback process highlighted the importance of iteration, showing how educational games grow stronger through testing and reflection.
Beyond testing, participants began planning the local implementation phases, discussing how they will adapt and use their game prototypes in their own communities. Together, they explored:
-Target groups and local needs
-Possible adaptations of the games
-Learning goals and impact at local level
