Step-in training

Take a look at some pictures from the "Step-in" project that took place from 16 to 24 November 2024 in Nagybörzsöny, Hungary. The project aimed to integrate role play as an educational method.

The training was designed to provide youth workers and educators with the tools to effectively integrate role play into their educational practices. Its goal was to raise the standards of youth work and promote more dynamic and inclusive non-formal education (NFE) through the use of role-playing techniques. By addressing the unique experiences of migrant and LGBTQ+ youth, the initiative aimed to empower these groups and encourage personal growth through hands-on learning and self-expression.

Through the training, participants learned new role-playing methods and how to create their own role-playing simulations for educational purposes. They also created and tested several role-play activities such as "Welcome to San Dito", "Social Media Algorithms", "Gendara", "Build Your House", "Cyberfrøst", and "Secrets of the Mansion".

A variation of Secrets of the Manor was later tested in two subsequent training activities: Roll for Initiative and Drama in Youth Work.

The project was funded by the Erasmus Plus programme, project number: 2023-3-DE04-KA210-YOU-000170922.
